Mysuru: Even when the police tried to collect the order of events that lead to the rape of Mysuru gang, another man was arrested from Tamil Nadu on Tuesday following five other in detention.
Arrested from his house in the Tiruppur district – from where four defendants had been arrested – the man, in the mid-30s, would soon be taken to Mysuru.
His name was mentioned by five other daily wage workers who were arrested last week.
His role in crime and attendance at the scene of the crime was being investigated.
The sixth person who is believed to be part of crime is still runaway.
Alanahalli police have ordered six individuals unknown in the case of rape Gang Mysuru after police were told about crime on August 25.
They allegedly followed a MBA student and his classmate to a remote place in Lalithadripura on August 24 and demanded Rs 3 Lakh.
When the Duo refused, the defendant allegedly defeated unconscious classmates and conducted sexual abuse of the 22-year-old student.
