“We launched a travel awareness on Tuesday after the Norovirus report in a neighboring country,” explained HD Kote Health Officer Taluk Dr.
Ravi Kumar T.
on Wednesday, the official meeting was held at DB Kuppe Primary Healthcare Center where officials from various departments.
, Wanwadi workers, Asha workers, and members of Grama Local Panchayat were present.
In the meeting, stakeholders are given information about norovirus symptoms that include diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, etc.
Officials were asked to report every symptomatic person other than those who came from Kerala, with local authorities.
“We have asked local authorities to oversee local developments.
Door-to-Door monitoring will be continued.
We have asked Panchayat Asha members, Angganawadi and Grama to report whether there are people who develop norovirus symptoms,” explained Dr.

Because this border area has a large tribal population, the authorities maintain strict vigilance to ensure Norovirus does not spread on the mark.
