Vasco: Both of them accused the killing Amir up on Thursday night at Ranghavi Estate, Bogmallo, arrested early Friday morning, police said.
Nine teams from South Goa police worked for 12 hours all night to catch charges that have escaped with weapons.
The police said the duo was hired to kill the victim.
They were involved by someone from Uttar Pradesh who lived in New Vaddem, on the orders of others, police said.
Inferden, the victim is also a new resident of Vaddem.
Both Uttar Pradesh Natives – Shailesh Ramasare Gupta, 29, from Gorakhpur and Shivam Sarvajeet Singh, 22, from Jaunpur – arrested from the Cansaulim train station and taken to police custody seven days.
Up shot in the head at close range outside the house in a prosperous colony in Bogmallo, where he went with a friend.
He then died of a hospital injury.
Victims were involved in property and mining transactions, and also operated the transportation business.
Police said that although allegedly the motive for the murder was an agreement on the property that was wrong, investigations were ongoing and all corners were being examined, including love affair.
Pankaj Police Supervisor Kumar Singh said, “The defendant came to Vasco twice to meet up.
The defendant was specifically invited by a friend to commit a crime.” The two defendants had arrived in Goa about 10 days ago and lived in Anjuna.
They rented a car from Calangute to drive to Vasco.
“We found empty cartridges in a rental car.
We are investigating how they buy weapons.
We also investigate the tissue behind the crime,” Singh said.
The police have collected several people who come into contact with the defendant to get more information about their activities in the state.
Employing a contract killer to kill a local businessman has placed the spotlight on high profile people involved in this case, police said.
“The motive behind the murder has not been confirmed.
The investigation has revealed the names of more people and information connected with murder.
We hope to solve this case and arrest more and close people with this case,” he added.
The source said that the defendant worked as a crane operator and a part-time truck driver at Maharashtra.
They were known as contract killers, police said, added that efforts were being carried out to learn more about their background by contacting the police in other countries.
