The Spaniard Rafael Nadal said on Friday that he would end his 2021 season earlier because of the left foot problem that had disturbed him for a year, putting it aside throughout this month.
The number four world suffered a shock coming out in Washington this month, where he kicked his leadership to the Grand Slam later this year, and last week withdrew from the 1000 Masters in Toronto because of the problem.
“I want to tell you that unfortunately I have to end the 2021 season,” Nadal tweeted on Friday.
