Nagaland and Assam are ready to complete the border line outside the court

Guwahati: Assam and Nagaland supported “settlement outside the court” for border disputes between countries that annoyed them nearly six decades that saw the loss of life on both sides in deadly clashes.
This step will also bring the closure with three decades in the border line at the Supreme Court.
“We have a useful discussion about the border issue with Assam CM in Guwahati yesterday.
Both the state government supports the settlement outside the court,” said Nagaland CM Neiphiu Rio in Kohima on Monday.
Both states share the 512km border.
Rio said the two government delegates tended to meet Interior Minister Amit Shah earlier next month and formulate the process of resolving disputes.
In August last year, the Nagaland assembly adopted the resolution that the dispute with Assam must be completed along with the involvement of the local community of the two countries.
