Kohima: Minister Nagaland V Kashiho Sangtam on Sunday alleged that the army had taken “undue benefits” of the armed forces (special power) acting to “kill and terrorize” People since 1958.
Speaking on behalf of the East Nagaland Legislator (ENLU), Which represents 20 of the 60 MLA in the state, as long as Candlelight Vigil is held by Konyak Union here, he said that revocation of action has become a long-time demand from the northeastern people.

“After the unprecedented slaughter in Oting, words no longer need to express what action is.
It is none other than oppressive and discriminatory, and must go,” he said.
The minister said that the Nagaland government had passed the cabinet memo to revoke AFSPA.
It has also made a sit led by the IGP to complete an investigation into the shooting incident within one month.
Sangtam said that Enlu convinced Oting and Konic people that the initiative would be taken to ensure that impartial assessment was conveyed and the culprit was punished according to the law.
The Union of the East Nagaland female president Lemei B called on all dragons to stand together so “next generation is avoided from such a brutality”.
