New Delhi: Ahead of the presentation of the economic survey, the government appointed Dr.
V Anantha Nageswaran as Head of Economic Advisor (CEA).
In the official release, the Ministry of Finance said on Friday that Dr.
Nageswaran had carried costs as a new CEA.
Nageswaran succeeded in Krishnamurthy Subramanian who returned to academics at the end of his three-year term in December 2021.
Before this appointment, Dr.
Nageswaran had worked as a writer, writer, teacher and consultant.
He has taught in several business schools and the management institute in India and in Singapore and has published widely.
He is the Dean of School graduates IFMR business and a respectable economic professor at Kria University.
Dr.
Nageswaran has also become a part-time member of the Economic Advisory Board to Indian Prime Minister from 2019 to 2021.
The Role of CEA requires the main policy suggestions to the Minister of Finance, and becomes the main writer of the Economic Survey – Annual Report Card from the Economy to be submitted in parliament Budget on January 31.
