Nagpur: A 11-year-old girl, desperate to get money for her mother’s cancer treatment, allegedly captivated to sell her virginity for Rs 5,000.
The girl was saved on Thursday by the police from an apartment in Koradi, where the police arrested three women, who had arranged ‘customers’ for Rs 40,000, and promised monetary assistance for small families that were hit by poverty.
Fortunately for the girl, the customer turned out to be a police informant.
The source said the minor mother suffered from cancer and family needed urgent money for its care.
This fact was still verified by the police, because it was revealed by one of the defendants.
The source also said the defendant had convinced underage children to accompany them and offer their offer, and promised him to Rs 5,000.
During the attack, Archana Vaishatampayan (39), Ranjana Meshram (45) and Kavita Nikhare (30) were arrested by the Crime Branch of Social Services (SSB), which had acted on information from an NGO.
The police said Vaishatamban and Mrs.
Minor were known to be mutually known.
Mrs.
Minor has filed herself to send a 11-year-old child after Vaishampayan said she wanted her to work as a caregiver for her two-year-old son.
With the pretext of taking care of his son during his birthday celebration, Vaishampayan had taken a minor with him to an apartment in Om Nagar in the Koradi.
The apartment was taken rented by Meshram, where Nikhare was assigned to take customers for the virginity of the girl.
Even though the police refused to separate from the details of rescue operations, it studied the ‘customers’ identified by Nikhare, which was allegedly ready to pay RS40,000, turned out to be a police informant and told the SSB team.
CP Amitesh Kumar said there was confidential information about small children who were ready for exploitation, after which police took action to save him.
It was studied Meshram and Vaishyampayan previously arrested for meat trade in separate cases.
They are friends with each other in prison, said the source.
The police said Vaishampayan had approached Minor’s mother and then warned the meshram about the girls available for trading meat.
A violation was registered at the Coradis Police Station and the saved girl sent to the government’s shelter.
