Nagpur: around 12 police officers, including a woman, deployed at various police stations in Nagpur City tested Covid-19 positive after returning from Pune where they went to attend training between August 30 and September 9 this month.
It was studied around 33 police officers who had gone to attend training at Maharashtra Intelligence Academy (MIA) as part of their refresher course module.
After returning from training, many police began to develop symptoms suggested by their top brass to go for testing.
Nagpur police are now coordinating with the Municipal Nagpur corporate health department to shift the police to a different institutional quarantine center.
Contact search from the affected police also began on the war footing.
