Nagpur: After winning against the states of the state government to face the level of non-covid treatment at the APEX court, Vidarbha Hospitals Association (VHA) and Dr.
Pradeep Arora are now set to submit a request at the High Court on the New Hospital regulations enforced by Maharashtra.
Through notification earlier this year.
The government has increased the registration fee for hospital manifolds (50-100 times), with many other non-practical liabilities that will have an increased impact on health care costs.
Notifications in this case were issued in January this year.
After the second Covid-19 wave has receded, the government intends to apply this regulation.
“The registration fee has been carried out from the previous RS250 for the entire hospital to Rp1,000 Rejan for each bed in the hospital.
This indirect expense must be borne by the patient.
We will appeal in court to this,” said Dr.
Anup Marar, Convener of VHA.
This fee means a decent hospital with 50 beds must pay RS50,000 per year only for the same registration and update.
New hospital rules also include various structural norms such as entry points and exits, fire security, parking etc., which is very difficult to implement a retrospective for a functioning hospital.
“Our main objection to the rules of the new hospital is that this is very demanding and hard, but the hospital owners have not been involved or consulted while forming them,” said Dr.
Marar.
According to Dr.
Arora, the rights of doctors have been violated again by making harsh rules and do not consider their limitations and obstacles.
“A large increase in registration fees, unworthy liabilities and norms that do not need to be tied to make personal health care is more expensive and not affordable for poor patients.
This new rule is especially burdensome for smaller nursing homes, many of which are now inclined Closed, “he said.
Recently, the VHO and Dr Arora government notices and laws were rejected by doctors with their fundamental rights to collect prices for services provided to non-covid patients.
After the Nagpur Bench of Bombay High Court canceled it, the government had approached the Supreme Court to reverse the verdict.
SLP has been dismissed by the Supreme Court too.
The confident doctor now goes for another battle against the rules of a new hospital.
“Some doctors even called this rule as a bell of death for small and medium-sized nursing homes.
There are so many ambiguity in the rules, leaving a large scope for interpretation and unfavorable inference.
As a result the doctor will be exploited and may even be a victim of corruption.
Hospitals Larger also found many of these conditions withstand and heavy, thus inhibiting affordable and accessible health care goals, “said Dr.
Ashok Arbat, chairman of VHA.
