Nagpur: Upset with the failure of civil institutions and the government to repair holes on all roads, NGO Janmanch has reminded them of the strict order passed by the Nagpur bench from the Bombay High Court on October 16, 2019, and appealed to implement it.
The majority of city roads, except concrete, have developed a crater-sized hole due to continuous rain, mainly because of inferior quality materials used by contractors, Jankan activists accused.
Civic and government agencies like the Department of Public Works (PWD), Mahametro, and NHAI, among others, have failed to improve the streets in their jurisdiction, they said.

Then, the intervention was submitted by lawyer Anil Kumar highlighted how several complaints committed by civilian authorities through social media did not get attention.
After HC criticism, the police came out with a mechanism for citizens to submit complaints by sending e-mails to dcptrafficnagpur@gmail.com, or tweet to @trafficNGP and through whatsapp at 9011387100.
Similarly, NMC also activates social mechanisms on social media platforms such as Email on ngppotholescomplaints@gmail.com, Twitter link – https://twitter.com/ngpnmc and facebook link – http://m.facebook.com/nmcngp.
The Civic’s body also told HC on October 16, 2019, that it was in the process of making cellular applications and hosting on the Android platform, which would facilitate registration of complaints immediately.
Janmanch claimed the application was never launched and NMC has also stopped receiving complaints.
