Nagpur police on ‘warning’ for I-Day

Nagpur: City police began throwing security blankets throughout the city on Saturday with special alertness at the entry point and out for the security of independence day.
Amitesh Kumar City Police Chief said there was no special input from any threat but the police would remain in general alertness.
Checking at nakabandi points throughout the city along with anti-sabotage supervision has been improved.
Precautions in the command room and CCTV control have also increased.
Source said the police guarded a tight watch on political movements, especially pro-vidarbha agitation.
Pondok-lodge, hotel, bus holder, public places and sensitive locations have been brought based on security supervision.
Train security has also slipped into high warning mode with anti-sabotage checks.
The airport is also under special security supervision, with CISF in high standby mode.
