Nagpur: The Mayor of Dayashankar Tiwari has proposed to make the lactation cubid, titled ‘Pink Cabin’, mandatory in all the upcoming malls and markets to help breastfeeding mothers feed children or for other purposes.
The city’s first lactation cube was developed and inaugurated at Glocal Mall in Sitabuldi to mark the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ on Saturday.
The vehicle special purpose of the Smart Nagpur Corporation Corporation Limited (NSSCDCL) project has planned the concept and launched it with the help of Goel Ganga Group, which was built and operated Glocal Mall.
Tiwari told Tii, “Women are superior in all sectors.
At the same time, they do not get all types of facilities.
The pink cabin is a good concept.
I will ensure amendments in the Development and Control Regulation (DCR) to make pink cabins mandatory In all malls and markets have 100 shops or more.
“Tiwari Felicated Goel Ganga Group Vice-President of Anup Khandelwal to receive NSSCDCL requests and develop a pink cabin.
“We have developed a pink cabin in the 10×10 feet on the ground floor.
We have installed two good sofas, two chairs and tables to replace children’s diapers.
We also provide ceiling fans and other types of facilities,” he said.
Tiwari also announced that the next pink cabin would be developed at Gandhibagh Garden.
Nagpur Municipal Corporation and NSSCDCL tend to develop a pink cabin throughout the city wherever it is necessary and perhaps, given the experience developed in Glocal Mall.
Goel Ganga Group also facilitates the Covid-19 drive-in vaccination center on Civic’s body demand.
Meanwhile, NSSCDCL has planned various types of activities from 1 to 3 October to mark the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
