Nagpur: As a 30,000 surprising seats remain empty at STD XI in Junior Colleges within the city limits, the Ministry of Education has announced another round under the General Registration Procedure (CAP).
Called Ronde (FCFS) first came first, it will be held from September 28 to October 14.
While FCFS is a regular feature every year, for the academic session affected by this pandemic postponed.
But on Monday, Deputy Director of Education Vaishali Jamdar issued a circular that confirmed the state government’s decision to conduct FCFS rounds.
This means that it is closed, which starts in August, now it will continue until at least October to see if a very large job deficit can be closed.
Toi has reported consistently on hat figures and academics what has been said about “futility”.
Ravindra Fadnivis, Executive Member of Maharashtra Rajya Shikshan Sanstha Mahamandal (MRSSM), has been in the past approaching the High Court for this issue, despite taking different aspects of it.
Mrssm questioned why the hat was only mandatory for the city center while only a few kilometers away, and outside the city’s boundaries, students can approach college directly and get reception.
“There is an advantage of chair supply,” Fadnivis said.
“The State Education Department gives permission to increase the number of parts to each junior college.
From what I know, no one is rejected.
So you have a college with some parts and unfortunately supply has now been excessive demand,” Fadnivis said.
An education official who did not want to be identified to tell TOI that there was not much they could do.
“If the college has infrastructure to accommodate more students, it will be given permission.
Such universities are not looking for land or funds from the state government, so there is no problem in giving permission so that more students can enter there,” officials said that.
The same official told TI that college had four or five common parts, but in Nagpur there were colleges which had more than 15 parts.
“As I said, it is not illegal.
As long as there is room and lab infrastructure, such permissions will be given,” said the official.
