Rajkot: A 65-year-old porbandar man who returned from Nairobi back in Kenya was tested positively for the Omicron variant on Tuesday.
He had returned to Porbandar two weeks ago and was hospitalized for ten days.
He shifted to house isolation after the two RT-PCR reports were negative.
However, the sequencing report was revealed that he was infected with the Omicron Covid-19 strain.
On Tuesday, 37 people were tested positively in Rajkot where 35 came from the city area.
Health officials in Rajkot said that 167 people were in care for Covid in this district.
