Beirut: Najib Mikati was named the new Lebanon Prime Minister on Monday with 72 votes in Parliament, MTV TV Channel reported.
Mikati gave a speech after its appointment, called on all political parties to work with her to find the right solution for the country’s crisis.
“The voice of trust by parliamentarians is needed for my appointment but I want to get the trust of the Lebanese population, every man and woman, and youth,” said Mikati at Baabda Palace after his meeting with President Michel Aoun.
Most of the Lebanese political parties support Premermin Mikati, including future movements, charity movements, Hezbollah, Marada movement and progressive socialist party.
However, Mikati faced the opposition from the two main Christian parties of the country, the free patriotic movement and Lebanese troops.
