Coimbatore: The prime accused of the murder of the Dalit Youth in the Namakkal District of Tamil Nadu has been sentenced to ten years in prison in another case.
The Special Court for the protection of Tamil Nadu from the Depositors Law (TNPID), Coimbatore, has sentenced Yuvaraj, 41, for ten years in prison in connection with Scam Emu.
Two men were sentenced to ten years in prison again in connection with this case.
The court slapped the fine of Rs 2.47 Crore on them.
Yuvaraj is the main accusation of the 2015 Gokulraj murder, which is a case of honor.
In 2011, Yuvaraj of Eveli near Akkamapettai in Salem District, Samizhnesan, 34, from Thiruhankitampalayampda near Perundurai in Erode and C Regency and Hosieries Emu in Perundurai.
Yuvaraj serves as Director of Agriculture Emu, Tamilselvan is his business partner and Vasu is the company manager.
The company announced two schemes to attract investors.
According to the first scheme, if people invest Rs 1.5 lakh, the company will provide six chicks and EMU feed and will install a warehouse to raise Emu’s chicks.
The company will also provide 7,000 Rs to investors for a monthly refund for 24 months and Rs 20,000 as a bonus for per year.
After 24 months, investors will regain the amount of capital investment too.
According to the second scheme, if people invest Rs 1.5 lakh, the company will raise six chicks and provide Rs 8,000 to investors for a monthly refund for 24 months.
After two years, investors will get the amount of capital investment.
A total of 121 people from Salem, Erode, Namakkal and neighboring districts invested Hospital 2.70 Crore at Emu’s company, but they were not given monthly refunds.
TP Palanisamy from Tiruchenge in the Namakkal District, which was cheated by the company, filed a complaint with a police violation of the Police Wing (EOW) in September 2012 and the police registered a case against the company and Yuvaraj, Tamizhnesan and Vasu below it.
b) (criminal conspiracy), 406 (criminal violations of trust), 420 (cheating) from the Indian criminal code and part 5 of the TNPID law.
The police arrested the trio and case trial was held in a special court for TNPID cases.
Yuvaraj was taken to the TNPID court from the Madurai Central Prison.
Vasu appeared in front of the court on Thursday.

Tamizhnesan did not appear before the court, and the court issued a warrant that was not up to him.
