Gurgaon: Following the consecutive weeks of protests marked by Resciss Bhajan against Namaz in sector 47, a group of people on Friday collected about 50 meters from the site where prayer was held – this time in sector 12 – and raised slogans ” Jai Shri Ram “and” Bharat Mata Ki Jai “.
As in previous weeks, there was a severe spread of police with police who positioned themselves between prayer meetings and protesters to prevent escalation.
An argument broke when they prevent the demonstrators approach the church.
Then, supported by protesters, Kamesh Saini, a resident of Rajiv Nagar (Sector 13), filed a complaint of the police, accusing them offering Namaz on the site not local residents and police must check their identity cards.
ACP (old city) Ashok Kumar said the complaint was sent to the administration.
Kulbhushan Bharadwaj, a former President of the BJP Gurgaon district who led the protest, said some residents were not happy with Namaz who were detained in open areas.
“We will protest again in various parts of the city,” he added.
Altaf Ahamad, a member of the Gurgaon Nagrik Ekta Manch which had previously submitted a petition on the administration to act against efforts to disturb Namez, said the protesters went very close to the Sector 12 prayer site and shouted slogans while the prayers were.
“The real problem is not a name in the open.
They intend to create hatred in the community,” he thought.
He added that people gathered in open areas for Namaz in various parts of the city because of comfort.
“They usually gather in small groups, offer prayers and then return to work.
Many organizations also set a place for Friday prayers.
It only took 15-20 minutes,” Ahmad said, adding that it was uncomfortable during working hours to travel 2- 4 km to offer Namaz and then return.
Namaz is, meanwhile, offers peace and without interruption on this Friday in sector 47, said ACP (aware) safe Yadav.
Protests in the area have been summoned earlier this week after the Head of Rwa Local Meet with Deputy Commissioner Gurgaon.
The city first saw protests and opposition to Namaz in the open area in 2018.
At that time, Namaz was offered at 106 places in the open.
After protests, administration held a series of meetings with people from the community and appointed 37 sites for Namaz to be offered.
