Kolkata: The speaker about West Bengal Bannerjee’s legislative assembly has summoned two senior officers – each from the Directorate of Enforcement and Bureau of Investigation (CBI) – and asked them to appear in front of him on September 22 with respect to the chargesheet submitted by the Chargeshets agent in the case Narada Bribery.
According to sources in the Assembly, Bananjee’s Biman speaker has been looking for an explanation in connection with the names of MLA in Chargesheet.
“According to the rules of the names of MLA can be given in Chargesheet after taking written permission from the speaker.
In terms of parliamentary members permission must be taken from parliamentary speakers.
Banerjee will ask why this procedure has not been followed in this case,” said an official in the Assembly.
Two probe agents recently accuseded and summoned several MLA from the powerful Trinamool Congress, including the minister, because of alleged their involvement in the case of the Ponzi scam and the case of Narada Sting operations.
In Chargesheet with Ed and CBI, the names of the Panchayat ministers of Subrata Mukherjee, Minister of Transportation of Firhad Hakim and TMC MLA from Kamarhati Madan Mitra, thought.
The CBI has published a call against them and they have been asked to attend before the court on November 16.
The letters have been sent to the Assembly.
“We have not received the letter because the formality has not been fulfilled.
Let the officers come and give their explanation and then we will act according to the direction of the speaker,” another official said.
TMC leaders like Sukhendu Sekhar Roy and Kunal Ghosh said speaker Lok Sabha was always stored if the investigation agency began such actions such as chargesheet against parliamentarians, but the practice was not followed by MLA in Bengal.
