New Delhi: Indian Olympic Association President Narinder Batra on Thursday said IOA officials who had landed in Tokyo before the Olympics have found the facilities to be very good and some “dining room problems” have also been resolved for contingent.
“From India Chef De Mission BP Baishya, Dy Chef De Mission and Covid Lilasioning Officer Dr.
Prim Verma, Doctor Contingent and additional Arun Basil doctor and JT Association of the Indian Olympics Mr.
George arrived in the village of Games on July 14,” Batra said.
These officials will receive the first batch of the Indian 90 contingent in the village, when landing in Tokyo on July 18.
“I was told by the Dy Chef de Mission that the settings stay in the village of Games are very good and the dining room.
Problems, because India is one of 14 countries with extra conditions, also stands resolved,” Arra added but did not describe the details of the resolution.
Indian athletes must undergo three days of hard quarantine after arriving in Tokyo and IOA have raised concerns about how their food will be managed so far.
The athletes also had to undergo strict testing during the match.
The Mega program was being held from July 23 to August 8 under a strict health safety protocol and the crowd of sans in the middle of a raging pandemic.
Tokyo, on Wednesday, recorded more than 1,000 cases for the first time since January.
