Kolkata: Accident avoided on Thursday morning, close to the same place near Baisakhi Island in Salt Lake where a 25-year-old biker died after being tangled in a jerked on Wednesday night, when two motorists slipped from the road after meeting hole .
Witnesses say motorcyclists do not accelerate because stretches are already bad.
One of the bikers almost fell, but managed to control the vehicle and drive.
However, others cannot control their bicycles and fall.

“I don’t usually take this stretch and don’t know the road conditions are very bad.

BMC officials said it could take a comprehensive road repair work only if there was a dry weather spell after the rainy season.

BMC makes a list of places in Salt Lake where the road deteriorates within a few months after being repaired and will take problems with the agency involved.
The Civic body will ask the agents concerned to maintain road maintenance for three years, failure, actions will be taken against them.
