WASHINGTON: The Hubble Space Telescope, that has been bandied to the world for over 30 decades, was down for the last couple of days, Nasa said Friday.
The issue is that a payload computer which stopped functioning Sunday, the US space agency said.
It insisted that the telescope and scientific tools that follow it had been”in good health” “The payload computer’s intention will be to control and organize the science tools and track them for safety and health functions,” Nasa stated.
An effort to resume it Monday failed.
Nasa said first evidence pointed to some degrading pc memory module because the origin of the personal computer issue.

The technology to its payload monitor dates back to the 1980s, and it had been changed during maintenance work from 2009.
Launched in 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope altered the area of astronomy and altered our vision of the world since it shipped back pictures of the solar system, the Milky Way and remote galaxies.
A new and stronger one, known as the James Webb Space Telescope, is scheduled to be set up late this season.
