Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, who underwent treatment for pneumonia in the hospital here, is fine and is expected to be sent home tomorrow, his secretary said on Thursday.
The 70-year-old actor was treated at Hinduja Hospital & medical research center based in Khar, non-Covid-19 facility, on Tuesday.
“He’s fine.
He might be sent home tomorrow,” said Secretary Naseruddin Shah Jairaj.
On Wednesday afternoon, the wife of Naseruddin Shah and Veteran actor Ratna Pathak Shah said that he had a “small patch” pneumonia in his lungs and was undergoing treatment for the same thing.
Naseeruddin Shah, National Drama School Alumni (NSD) and Indian Film and Television Institute (FTII), known for its contribution to parallel cinema, with films such as’ Nishant ‘,’ Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro ‘,’, ‘,’ Ijazat ‘,’ Masoom ‘, and’ Mirch Masala ‘.
He has also created a room for himself in a commercial cinema with films such as ‘Mohra’, ‘Sarfarosh’, ‘Ishqiya’, ‘dirty images’, and ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’, among others.
Veteran, which includes a 46-year career, is also known for its extensive work in the theater and runs the theater group, Motley Productions.
Some of the last national award-winning actors were seen in 2020 drama features ‘Mee Raqsam’.
