The arrival of summer onion in Lasalgaon APMC is almost run out and the arrival of the final onion Kharif has not taken.
According to APMC officials, the arrival of summer onions has diminished to 4,500 quintals per day due to 10,000 quintus / day before Diwali.
Summer onions have a shelf life for six months and farmers prefer to save it in hopes of getting a better price.

Therefore, summer onions stored by farmers serve the market until the onion Kharif is fresh arrives.

On Monday, the minimum onion prices and maximum wholesalers in Lasalgaon were recorded at Rs 900 and Rs 2,555 per quintal respectively.
