Nashik: In an effort to increase vaccination coverage, Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has decided to start the 24×7 vaccination center in four locations – BYTCO Hospital, Zakir Hussain Hospital, Indira Gandhi Hospital and Morewadi PHC.
NMC officials say that they will begin vaccination 24×7 from next week to help beneficiaries working during the day and do not get time for vaccination.
Drive Vaccination 24×7 will start from Monday at the New Bytco Hospital and Indira Gandhi Hospital in the first phase.
NMC officials said, “We already have staff working 24×7 in these two hospitals.
The drive will greatly help the working class because it can be done whenever they want.” More than 1.50 beneficiaries of the lakh in the city have not received the first dose of vaccines.
Therefore, the civil body aims to inoculate maximum recipients with at least the earliest first dose.
At present, around 12.20 Lakh beneficiaries have received the first dose, while 7.98 beneficiaries of the Lakh have received a second shot.
That is, around 89.50% of beneficiaries have received the first dose, while 58% of the recipient gets the second dose.
So far, Covishield, Covaxin and Sputnik V vaccines are available throughout the district.
Now, the Zycov-D vaccine will also be available soon, which will be a needle-free vaccine.
Nashik Municipal Corporation is expected to get this vaccine bottle in a week.
This vaccine will be given to beneficiaries over 18 years, which has not taken the first photo.
