Nashik: Police Sarkarwada has registered a case of theft against unidentified thieves responsible for stealing jewelry worth Rs 5 lakh from a traveling partner from Trabbakeshwar to Nashik.
In accordance with the complaint registered in the police, the couple returned to Trabbakeshwar from Nashik at 1 pm on the bus from the Central Bus Stand.
When the trip started the wives of the complainant opened his bag to get his wallet to get money to buy a ticket.
However, what surprised him, the wallet was gone.
The complainant expressed a wallet containing gold jewelry worth Rs 5 Lakh – 30 grams of gold chain, 20 grams of gold ring, and nine gold bracelets worth Rs 3 Lakh.
“We have requested a closed circuit television recording (CCTV) from the bus for the purpose of the investigation.
However, gold jewelry was stolen from the couple before they arrived at the Central Bus Stand on the Autorickshaw.
They realized about theft just after sitting on the bus,” said a police officer, Adding this case is being investigated.
