Nashik: Unlike the first wave and both Covid, industrial activities remain not affected in the Nashik industrial area during the third wave.
All sectors are fine and the production is active in full swing in industrial units in all sectors.
According to Ambad Industries and the manufacturer’s association (AIMA), this industry is expected to register growth of 15-20% during the current financial year compared to the previous financial year.
Nitin Gavli, Maharashtra Regional Officer Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), Nashik Region, said all industrial units in Nashik were operating and they followed the Covid Safety Protocol in accordance with government guidelines.
“Even though some workers are infected, they also recover in five to seven days and rejoin their duties,” Gavli said.
The company has a good order book and they are busy completing orders before the financial year is currently over, he said.
Nikhil Panchal, Vice President Aima, said the industry was very affected during the first and second waves, but industrial activities during the third wave remained unaffected.
“All industrial units are fully operational and production are ongoing.
All sectors, starting from infrastructure, electricity to cars is fine and they have a good order book.
We expect that this financial year, the industrial sector can register around 20% growth compared to Previous financial year, “Panchal said.
Vivek Patil, an industrialist, who produces heat exchangers, said he had a good order book compared to last year, but metal prices also increased in general.
However, they expect 15% sales growth.
Another industrialist, M G Kulkarni, said the scenario was better this financial year compared to the last financial year.
“I have exported capacitors to various countries and export orders have increased this year.
We expect 20% growth in this financial year business.
Moreover, I have an order that must be completed at the end of March,” he said.
4,696 New Cases in Nashik A total of 4,696 cases of Covid-19, including 5,385 from the city of Nashik, reported in the district for the last two days on Wednesday and Thursday, taking the case calculation to 4.59,328.
