Nashik: The leaves of police personnel in the city and other parts of the district have been canceled in the background of the tense situation arising due to the fall of alleged violence against the minority community in Tripura.
Senior police officer Police Komisarier said according to order from the Director General of Police (Mumbai) all leaf police personnel still canceled up to further orders.
“Weekly off will continue, but the other leaves have been canceled until further orders,” said a senior police officer.
Meanwhile, there has been no violent incident in Nashik City, while the band called in the Old City area on Friday was peaceful.
“Prevention steps were taken beforehand to ensure no unwanted incidents in the city.
We maintain strict vigilance to ensure that no one plays crimes that can lead to legal and order situations,” the official said.
