Nashik prison prisoners to make a cloth mask

Nashik: Nashik Road Prison Center will begin the manufacturing mask process given the increasing Covid-19 case in all districts and countries.
“The middle prison has a tailor unit and skilled prisoners will be given the job of making cloth masks,” said Pramod Wagh, Jail Jail Supervisor of Jalan Nashik.
Last year, central prison inmates had prepared 1.26 lakh masks through their inmates at the Tailor Department.
“This time, we will start the production of masks with the help of available tailors.
There are 20 stitching machines in the central prison tailor unit,” said Senior Jailer Ashok Karkar.
Masks are supplied to various hospitals and government departments.
Officials said that the purpose of operating this manufacturing unit was to keep inmates busy by giving them several or other jobs.
Most of the busy convicts in various furniture, textile, fabrication, bakeries, sewing, chemicals, laundry, etc.
However, work in these units is only given to prisoners and not under the trials they can indeed be bail anytime.
Articles prepared by craftsmen sold at the outlet are set outside the prison along the prison road.
Diwali Mela, where various articles were prepared by inmates sold, received an enthusiastic response during the festival.
