National Afghanistan is held at the J & K-Punjab border

SRINAGAR: Police Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday held Afghan citizens at Covid Testing Center at Lakhanna’s entry point in Kathua Regency at J & K.
Confirming Detention, a police officer said that a 17-year-old boy was detained near the J & K border -Punjab, where he should undergo a Covid test as a UT guide.
“His identity was revealed from the passport and his visa.
He was taken to the Lakhanpur police station for further investigation,” added police officers.
A senior police officer said “National Afghanistan who was detained had a legitimate travel document, which showed that he was a teenager.
This is why we did not reveal his identity,” he added.
“We verify the problem to find out how he entered J & K and at what purpose.
This will be premature to draw conclusions when he was questioned,” said the senior police officer.
Afghan’s national detention came when the Taliban had taken full control over Afghan and US forces had been out of the country.
Security forces in Kashmir are at a high warning to ensure no Taliban terrorist infiltration into the J & K region.
