New Delhi: Chairperson of the National Conference of Farooq Abdullah has regretted the NC problem did not participate in the JAMMU and Kashmir Pancayat polls.
The National Conference did not participate in Panchayat polls held in September 2018 and also boycotted the Block Development Council (BDC) poll held in 2019 after the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
“I am sorry that the national conference did not participate in the Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat poll.
The party should do that,” he said.
The head of the NC also said that soon a government would be in power in Jammu and Kashmir who would make officials “responsible” to people.
In parliamentary outreach programs, Abdullah demanded Leaders’ Panchayat security and added that they were targeted by terrorists.
“The politicians who stand with the country are terrorist targets and for the country to protect it,” he said.
Abdullah also expressed the sadness of government officials from the team of the family and Kashmir did not “take a call.
He asked L-G Manoj Sinha to instruct officials to answer people’s phone calls.” India is a diverse nation.
