National Daily Covid Tally crosses 3 lakh after 8 months; 350+ death

New Delhi: Wednesday saw a new high for the third wave as a count of the Daily Covid case across 3 lakh.
After a short break for three days – Saturday, Sunday and Monday – when there was a decrease in the case, the calculation climbed quickly for the past two days.
With data from several countries still awaited, the national calculation reaches 3,04,416 at 11:00.
India last reported more than 3 lakh cases on May 15 (3,11,077).
In the third wave, which has seen an almost exponential increase in cases from December 27, it only takes 23 days to push the daily count of more than 3 lakh.
The second wave, which began in mid-February last year, took over 60 days to reach the mark on April 21 when approaching its peak.
A total of 356 deaths were reported at 11:00 and tolls likely to cross the count of Tuesday 357 as data from Punjab, Jharkhand and Tripura, among others, not yet.
Since last September, the daily toll road has not passed 300 until now.
Fortunately, this wave death rate is much lower than the second wave.
At the level 3 of the lakh case, more than 2,000 daily deaths were reported in the second wave.
At the global level, India is the second worst country after the US.
On January 17, the date for which the latest data on new cases is available for the US, the country reported more than 8.7 lakh fresh infections.
International data comparable for the most devastated countries show that in January, Argentina is the only other country other than India and the US that reported more than 1 lakh everyday case.
Tally for France and Italy, who have reported more than 1 lakh case on January 17, are under the lakh for January 18.
Death data shows that so far, everyday death in India is lower than countries such as the US, Russia, Canada, Mexico and Poland.
Forbid us, the number of daily cases for all the others is lower than in India.
Among the countries, Maharashtra topped the list and was followed by Karnataka, both of them reported more than 40,000 cases on Wednesday.
Kerala reported more than 30,000 cases and was followed by Tamil Nadu and Gujarat where the daily count was more than 20,000.
Six countries reported more than 10,000 cases; The list includes Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Odisha, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh in a high-time case order.
For 12 states, counts above 1,000 while nine countries (mostly in the Northeast) and UTS reported fewer 1,000 new cases on Wednesday.
Eleven countries reported more than 10 deaths on Wednesday.
Maharashtra and Kerala – each reported 49 deaths – was at the top of the list while the count was more than 30 for West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Delhi.
