India last reported more than 3 lakh cases on May 15 (3,11,077).
In the third wave, which has seen an almost exponential increase in cases from December 27, it only takes 23 days to push the daily count of more than 3 lakh.
The second wave, which began in mid-February last year, took over 60 days to reach the mark on April 21 when approaching its peak.
