New Delhi: The center will start from a series of meetings with countries to collaborate with a ‘-based solution’ approach to deal with identified problems, using science, technology and innovation (IMS) as a tool in local government.
Furthermore, the ‘National Science Conclary’, which involves the Ministry of Science from the Center and all states / UTS, will be carried out intentionally after suppressing the problems faced by the country and solutions that are effective for the same.
The idea of collaborating the state is to work on integrated theme based projects instead of ministry-based projects or departments.
Such collaboration templates will be similar to how UT from Jammu & Kashmir is being assisted through the latest snow cleaning technology, and Puducherry and Tamil Nadu assisted in the restoration and renovation of sea coast through scientific intervention.
This step came after the success of such experiments with the ministry and the central department where 168 proposals / requirements were received from 33 different ministries to provide technology support and solutions by all six S & T departments including space and atomic energy.
Discussed two days ago during a high-level joint meeting of all ministries and the science department, chaired by the Minister of Science & Technology Jitendra Singh.
In addition to the Secretary of all departments, the main scientific advisor to the government, K Vijayraghavan, also attended the meeting, called for the coordination of closer countries for technology solutions and science-based solutions for special problems and requirements.
“Exercise that is widely done separately with each state and UTS to identify areas where technology intervention can help resolve various problems to allow the ease of life for ordinary people,” Singh said, referring to such initiatives at J & & K, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are among others.
“The template is also being prepared to take the wise meeting of the theme between the center and state / UTS depending on specific needs, from one place to another,” the Minister said, adding that the Ministry and the Science Department concerned had begun to work on various scientific applications for the sector -Sectors such as agriculture, milk, food, education, skills, trains, roads, ‘jal shakti’ (water resources), strength and coal.
The ministry was six years ago conducting extensive brainstorming exercises with scientists from ISRO and the Department of Space to find out as well as the best space technology can be used as a modern tool to complement, improve and accelerate infrastructure development and the implementation of various welfare schemes.
