Lucknow: pursuing nationalism as “the highest religion” for every Indian, Chairman of Yogi Minister Adyityaath on Monday praised the sacrifice of thousands of freedom fighters who put their lives to free India from British rules.
Paying tribute to the martyrs of the Kakori train incident and maintained their family on the 97th anniversary of the event, cm calling it a turning point in the struggle for freedom.
“There is nothing more important than the sovereignty and independence of a nation and it is the responsibility of every Indian to enforce its values and maintain the integrity of the country,” he said.
Anandiben Governor Patel also paid homage to the martyrs in the commemoration of the Martyrs of the Kakori in Lucknow.
The governor emphasizes the need to make people, especially children, are aware of our history.

Given the martyrs like Ram Prasad Bismil, Roshan Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Ashfaqullah Khan and Rajendra Nath Lahiri, CM said the revolution in the country should not die when our freedom fighters sacrificed their lives for it.
“The country has never bent before England and we must use this revolutionary-revolutionary example to work for the development of the nation so that India can emerge as a power that must be taken into internationally calculated,” he said.
CM added that the Indian population of 136 Crore has one religion of nationalism which is above the caste, religion, region, language or political belief.
“Every Indian must fulfill its duties to maintain the Indian independence intact and to realize a relatively independent Indian vision,” Yogi added.
He said India owed his independence to the sacrifice made by lakh citizens.
“To mark the 75th anniversary of Indian independence, the central government organizes ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ which aims to beg for patriotism and instill passion for the country between its people,” added CM.
“The program under Amrit Mahotsav is being held throughout the country.
The Festival will highlight the struggle for freedom fighters, places related to the struggle for freedom and connecting people with history,” he said, adding that the sacrifice of the martyrs must inspire people to step on way home.
