PANAJI: The Goa Bhumiputra Adhikarini Bill, 2021 is none other than the election, said the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) here on Saturday because it shows that the petition under the Goa Law, Daman and Diu Mundkars (protection from expulsion), 1975 was waiting for Years.
NCP condemned the introduction of the bill and said that the government’s promise to regulate an invalid structure was a step to create a land bank ahead of the assembly selection of 2022.
“There are so many cases under the delayed Mundkar law.
The government cannot solve it, so what the need to introduce it Goa Bhumiputra Adikarni’s bill, 2021, which will only increase litigation and cases, “said NCP State President Jose Philip D’Souza.
D’Souza said that the government must first resolve the Mundkar case.
“We opposed this bill and condemned this step by the government.
When the Mundkar case was delayed, why would the government headache again in people again,” said D’Souza.
He said that removing the word ‘Bhumiputra’ from the bill would not change the intention behind the law.
“The BJP government has the habit of taking all the main decisions at night.
The Goa Government is not ready to provide assistance to Goans who have come down from work abroad but worried about outsiders who settled in Goa for the political elections of the bank,” said Head of NCP.
He said that the promise to regulate illegal structure and creating government work in the front of the election was similar to hanging carrots.
