NATO troops Patrol Border Kosovo-Serbia After a blockade truck

JARINJE: Army with a mission of peacekeeping led by NATO overseeing the border of Kosovo-Serbia after the two countries reached an agreement on Descalate tensions triggered by vehicle licensing disputes.
Kosovo forced troops from the United States, Italy and Poland to be seen on Saturday when the Serbian ethnic released the truck they used to block the road to two border crossings while protesting the decision of the Kosovo government not to allow vehicles with the Serbian number plate into the country.
.
Kosovar’s special police force also retreated from the border, where they were deployed two weeks ago to remove the number plate from entering the car and replaced it with a temporary registration in Kosovo.
The government in Pristina said they replicated what Serbia had done to Kosovar driver for a decade.
Kosovo was a Serbian province before declaring independence in 2008, and the Serbian forces and Ethnic Albanian separatists fought against the bloody war in Kosovo during the 1990s.
The European Union Mediator Miroslav Lajcak persuaded representatives from neighboring Balkan countries this week to let Kosovo (KFor) troops take over the area for the next 14 days.
“When from the end of this week and for the next two weeks, KFor will maintain a temporary and agile presence while in the area,” said a statement from the NATO mission.
As part of the agreement, the two countries will put stickers on behalf and other symbols on the details of the vehicle entering their territory.
KFOR, consisting of around 4,000 troops from 28 countries, led by NATO with the support of the United Nations, the European Union and others.
The aim is to prevent the remaining ethnic tensions between the majority of ethnic Albania and the ethnic Minority Kosovo.
The United States and most of the West recognize Kosovo’s independence, but Serbia, supported by its allies Russia and China, no.
Negotiations facilitated by the EU to normalize the relationship between Pristina and Belgrade began in 2011 and have produced more than 30 agreements, which are observed badly or not at all.
