Navi Mumbai: There was a fire incident in the building of the Vashi Plaza landmark due to LPG leakage in the ground floor restaurant on Saturday night.
No one was hurt.
However, city activists and local residents have reminded citizenary authorities about fire safety issues in this commercial building complex which has seen the fire incident in the past too.
“There was a small fire incidence in the sandwich shop on the ground floor because of gas leaks from cooking gas cylinders.
It was immediately postponed,” said the City Fire Brigade firefight, P Jadhav.
However, Harjeet Singh Kumar, who has an office space at Vashi Plaza, told Toi: “Many visitors on the sound of sizzling loudly from the ground floor area; and they rushed out to see what had happened.
