Ludhiana: Punjab BJP President of Ashwani Sharma while exploring the induction of Navjot Singh Sidhu as Head of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee claimed that the Congress would not find the benefits by presenting Sidhu like this because the public knew everything.
Sharma is here in the city on Sunday to take part in meeting leaders and party workers.
Before attending a meeting, Sharma interacted with the media, he said, “it was an internal problem of the Congress to give a position to anyone, but I would say Congress had taken this step only to divert public attention from the main problems of Punjab but that It won’t work in an effort.
“He said the voters were wise enough to question Sidhu that he also came to power for the past four and a half years but nothing was done for public welfare in these years.
He said voters would ask Sidhu also about the uncooked promises made in the election.
Regarding the protest of farmers, he said, “The government has continued agricultural bills but even then protests continue with this bill which proves that protests are not for farmers benefit from political parties.” He said the attack was being carried out on BJP leaders and workers and they were not permitted to do any programs in the state and now all the intellectuals were silent which raised Rona and cried about the death penalty.
Sharma said people in Punjab watch everything and they will give answers to those who want to damage the peace of the country.
Meanwhile, answering questions about Sunil Jakhar congress leaders blame that certain leaders relate to BJP leaders, Sharma said that we welcomed leaders who wanted to see progress in Punjab but only Jakhar could reveal their names related to BJP.
