New Delhi: In the midst of speculation the leader of the Navjot Singh Sidhu Congress is likely to be named the Head of the Punjab Pradesh (PCC) Congress Committee, he will meet with the president while the party Sonia Gandhi at his residence in Delhi today.
The Secretary General of the party is responsible for Punjab, Harish taking care will also meet Sonia Gandhi along with Sidhu.
According to sources, the congress is ready to announce Navjot Singh Sidhu as the new Head of the Punjab Congress Committee (PCC) on Friday.
“Sidhu will be appointed as the Head of the new PCC along with two works of work.
Sunil Jakhar, who is currently heading to the Punjab Congress will be adjusted to AICC,” said the source.
A force upheaval at the Punjab Congress has been going on for almost a month where Navjot Singh Sidhu openly rebelled against the state government by criticizing the electricity crisis in the state.
The leadership of the Congress has established a three-member committee to resolve factionalism in the state amid the difference between Sidhu and Chair of the Captain Amarinder Singh.
