Thane: Thane police have increased the vigil to prevent the Navratri Mandal and Housing complexes from the organizers of Garba or Dandiya events in the background of the direction issued by the Maharashtra government that has banned the event.
Navratri Nine Day Festival starts from October 7 and will last until October 16 throughout the city.
A police officer told me that there was a possibility that some housing complexes, as well as some mandal, could ignore the direction of the state and collect crowds to play Dandiya, mostly on the terrace of the housing community.
Therefore, the police under the police footing were different from five police zones Thane Commissioner said that they had appealed to the public not to hold such an event.
It is based that the police have begun to issue a notification to the housing complex regarding this rule.
A senior police officer told us that those who failed to follow the rules or anyone who found norms must be ordered and criminal cases under the relevant parts of the Indian criminal code must be registered with the organizers, and those who participated and found violating the rules.
In addition, the police said they would also use a team to examine those who violated the norm.
“There will be a cellular squad to allow events like that and if anyone found violating the norm, they will be ordered,” said police officer.
