Navy officers, 27, died in Himachal landslides, condolences flowed

A young naval officer from Chhattisgarh, who was on leave after being promoted, was among those who were killed in the Boulder Barrage incident at Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh, on Sunday.

Social media flooded with tribute and condolences to the officers on Monday when the news of his death broke.
Chhattisgarh’s native, Satish Katakwar, 30, from Janjgir-Champa also died in the incident.
Their mortal remains will be taken home on Tuesday for the last rite.
“District officials will accept it at Raipur Airport,” Kobba Ranu Sahu’s collector said.
Bapulan was promoted from Lieutenant a few weeks ago and posted to Andaman.
He took leave for ten days before joining his new assignment.
