Bastar: A Commander Maois, bringing the gift of Rs 10 lakh, shot down in the middle of the Narayanpur forest in the Bastar Division on Monday, less than 48 hours after 26 Maoists was killed by security forces at Gadchiroli neighbors in Maharashtra.
Believed he escaped from the Gadchiroli meeting zone.
Narayanpur SP Girijashankar Jaiswal identified Maoists who were killed as Saket aka Bhaskar Nureti, Commander of PLGA Company 6.
He was involved in several attacks on security forces, including the two years which caused the death of seven Jawan, police said.
Saket was involved in more than 30 cases of violence, SP told TOI.
