New Delhi: NBCC will return the money paid by the owner flat in the housing community, NBCC Green View in Gurugram, along with interest when the company has asked residents to empty security reasons.
This was stated by the Chairman of the NBCC Pawan Kumar Gupta.
However, the interest rate has not been determined by the company’s board of directors.
The housing community has 786 flats in 12 towers 14 floors which partly completed in May 2017 and sent to the buyer.
However, within two years, buildings, including their pillars and beams, began developing cracks.
IIT-Delhi, who was appointed to conduct a structural audit by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Union, in the last report on November 18, said the building was not safe and needed a major improvement.
It finds materials below the standard in construction and wrong images of the structure.
After this, the company asked residents to empty their flats.
The occupant association has requested additional compensation for mental torture and physical difficulties filled with them in the past two years while remaining in projects built badly.
In addition, residents say prices in the region have multiplied since 2011, when they have ordered their flats.
The association has requested adequate compensation for them to buy another house.
G Mohanty, president, the association of the apartment owner, said most of the population retired from the central government and had bought flat thinking when they were built by the company Navratna, they would be safe.
“We think we will live a peaceful post-retirement life, but it has been trusted due to negligence and commission by NBCC and we have experienced countless misery,” Mohanty said, who retired as the Director General, the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity, and also Former CBI spokesman.
Gupta said the board of directors would soon take the last view of compensation, including interest.
Meanwhile, as a temporary arrangement, NBCC is ready to pay home rent for occupants immediately switch.
A survey is also being carried out to ensure additional expenditures caused by residents in interior their flats before shifting there.
The company will return this fee.
The population was given the first vacation notification in October 3.
The second notification was sent on October 13 to empty the house on November 10.
However, many residents did not empty the flat because they could not find suitable accommodation.
