MUMBAI: The Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) has broken up a significant drug peddling racket through raids in five places in Maharashtra, including Mumbai by devoting seven men.
During the raids, the agency also captured 17kg of pure hashish worth Rs 9 crore which was being smuggled from Kashmir into Mumbai through Punjab.
The nodal agency supposes the fund procured in the sale of their contraband is associated with terror financing.
The NCB’s Mumbai unit headed by zonal manager Sameer Wankhede completed the searches through the 3 times in five to six places, including two spiritual location in Mumbai’s Dadar region.
The NCB also captured Rs 4.4 lakh money from the accused.
The detained men have been recognized as Kamlesh Gupta, Amit Praksh Patel, Rajvinder Singh, Gurmit Singh, Noor Mohmmad Jumman, Shabir Usman Shaikh and Nizamuddin Ahmad Taza.
