Mumbai: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has broken down a drug manufacturing unit in the Kamtha area in the Nanded Maharashtra district and arrested three people in this connection, an official said on Tuesday.
Based on the tip-off, the Zonal Mumbai NCB unit on Monday raided three stores, where the drug manufacturing unit was operated, the official said.
The NCB team confiscated 111kg poppy straw, 1.4 kg opium, rs 1.55 lakh, and restored equipment such as two grinding machines, electronic scale and record calculation machines, he said.
NCB has captured three people in this relationship and a case has been registered against them, the official said, added that further investigation was taking place.
