Ahmedabad: The narcotics control bureau will investigate two large drug seizures made in Gujarat recently.
The process of submitting cases to NCB was initiated after the center decided that the investigation body had to examine the national link in this case.
Two seizures include 120kg hero confiscated from Morbi village on November 15 and 57kg Heroin and 6 kg Metamfetamine confiscated from Salaya City in Devbhomi-Dwarka between November 10 and November 20.
DGP Ashish Bhatia confirmed that the NCB would take the probe immediately.
A senior police officer Gujarat said, “After it was decided that the NCB would handle large drugs, NCB DG wrote a letter to Gujarat DGP regarding the investigation.
Then, the Gujarat House Department officer and DG decided to submit Morbi and Dwarka cases to NCB.” Source -Sumber in NCB confirm the development, say they will immediately get the case document and start investigating.
In the case of Morbi, Gujarat ATS has been on November 15, found 120kg heroin from Jinjuvada Village in the Morbi district.
The investigation revealed that it had been taken from Pakistani medicine mafia and deliveries made in the sea in the last week of October.
Haul is intended to be transported to Punjab.
Morbi drug cases also involve the names of drug mafia in Maharashtra, Punjab and Delhi.
Nigeria and six others are arrested in this matter.
During the investigation, ATS confiscated 146 kg of medicine worth Rs 730 Crore.
In the same month, Devbhoomi-Dwarka police arrested five people, including two of Nigeria, after confiscation of heroin and metamfetamine worth Rs 315 Crore.
The case was revealed after one sajjad Ghosi, a resident of Thane in Maharashtra, was arrested from a guest house in the city of Khambhaliya on November 10 with a hero of 11.48kg and 6.16kg metamfetamine, collectively worth Rs 88.25 Crore in the illegal market.
This caused 45kg heroin seizures from a house in Salaka and the arrest of Salim Kara and Ali Kara, from whom Ghosi had received drugs.
