NCERT to assess children’s learning skills

New Delhi: National Council of Education and Training Research (NCERT) will conduct a survey of national assessments (NAS) in government and private schools immediately to see children’s learning skills.
The survey, which will include children’s lakh in more than 700 districts, is intended to determine the children’s learning skills and what changes are needed in the Post-Covid-19 pandemic curriculum.

Education Minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan previously announced that the survey to assess children’s learning skills is likely to be held in November this year.
For children in grade 3, 5, 8 and 10, Ncert conducts a national sample survey (NSS) to assess.
Previously, NSS was carried out on November 13, 2017 which included more than 22 grade 3, 5 and 8 students.
On February 5, 2018, NSS was carried out for grade 10.
NCERT also provided counseling to overcome the mental health problems of students in schools that were reopened after Covid-19.
NCERT experts and officials will be connected with students online and help them handle their mental and social problems.
Through various online channels, NCERT experts will interact with grade 6 to 11 students.
When schools have begun to reopen post-covid, Ncert said: “We want to help students face Covid-19 challenges.”
Class 6 and 11 students can connect with the official NCERT YouTube channel and Evidya DTH TV channels and can obtain solutions to their mental and social problems here.
