Bengaluru: The National Law of the Appellate Tribunal Law (NCL) has closed the bankruptcy process against Oyo and its subsidiary Oyo Hotels and Homes (OHHPL).
The Tribunal command prohibits the intervention of external parties, including the Federation of the Association of Indian hotels & restaurants (FHRAI), in this matter.
Oyo is expected to work with the hotel partner for the closure of a delayed claim.
The origin of the order returned to the disputed amount of RS 16 lakh between Oyo and the hotel owner, Rakesh Yadav, related to the ‘minimum guarantee’ provided by Oyo to the owner.
Oyo is used to offer a minimum amount per month to property owners regardless of the business carried out by the property.
Ti previously reported the NCLT, observations of Ahmedabad that Oyo failed to pay benchmark income for July and August 2019 and then default in all the numbers between September and November 2019.
Keyur Shah, was appointed independently by NCLT, said Yadav submitted a delayed contribution application at the beginning of 2020, Before the Covid pandemic, when the default threshold to appeal to the bankruptcy process under the IBC (bankruptcy code & bankruptcy) is Rs 1 Lakh.
This threshold was raised to Rs 1 Crore in March 2020 to prevent the trigger for the process against the UMCH for heat Covid-19.
However, Oyo, then settled Jadav’s contribution, and Yadav resigned from a hopes without hope.
But other organizations try to keep pursuing this problem.
This has now been annulled.
