NCP is committed to Gandhi-nehru ideology: pawar

Mumbai: The National Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar has praised Maharashtra Minister Uddhav Thackeray as a “person who speaks oral” which does not return when faced with responsibility.
The former Union Minister was also evenly distributed that NCP might have a difference with the Congress, but still swore by the ideology of Mahatma Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru.
Speaking to the portal, Pawar also stated that Sonia Gandhi, who finally decided that Congress could hold hands with Sena along with NCP to form the Government of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in Maharashtra.
“I have seen Uddhav Thackeray since his childhood.
When he starts watching Shiv Sena’s affairs, he follows his father’s guideline (Bal Thackeray).
But when the party’s responsibility fell to him, there were several skeptics about his abilities,” said Pawar.
“But Sena won the Civic Mumbai poll under Uddhav’s leadership.
After that it became clear that he might speak soft but had the ability, and could bear responsibility,” said Head of NCP.
“Under Uddhav Thackeray, Shiv Sena has grown,” he added.
Congress and NCP only have a difference from the style of function, said pawar, which comes out of ‘old grand party’ in 1999 for leadership issues.
“NCP is committed to the ideology of Gandhi and Nehru,” he added.
“Shiv Sena has also never become a bitter critic of the Congress.
Bal Thackeray has supported Indira Gandhi in his decision to force an emergency.
In the election after an emergency, Shiv Sena did not install candidates against the Congress,” said Pawar.
The head of the NCP, which is considered by many people as the main architect of MVA, said they maintained the “close eye” on the differences that appeared between Shiv Sena and then BJP allied after the results of the 2019 assembly poll.
“We then felt we needed to talk to Shiv Sena ..
..
(Sena MP) Sanjay Raut takes the initiative, “he said.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi agreed to be part of the Alliance after consulting with leaders in his party, he added.
“Rahul Gandhi was not in the discussion.
Sonia Gandhi spoke to everyone in Congress and then gave him a nod,” said Pawar, when asked about reports that Rahul opposed the idea of joining Sena with Sena.
