Patna: Bihar is above in ATM fraud, property disputes and attacks on the police category in the ‘crime in India-2020’ report released by the National Crime Note Bureau (NCRB) on Wednesday.
Bihar recorded 642 cases of ATM fraud, 4,838 cases of land and property disputes and 77 cases of attacks on police personnel and government officials last year.
Bihar also holds the top position in riots of riots and communal / religion each with 9,422 and 117 cases.
As many as 1,286 riots related to agraria, 234 money disputes and 42 riots related to students were recorded last year.
The state witnessed 2,619 cases of crime against women and stood second after Uttar Pradesh (above) with 3,077 cases in this category.
However, there was a slight 4.3% decline in criminal cases in the state under the Indian Criminal Code (IPC) or under the Special and Local Law (SLL) in 2020, when 2.57,512 crimes were registered at 2,69,109 2019.
However, the murder case saw a 0.4% increase with 3,150 incidents reported by 2020 against 3,138 in 2019.

In other criminal violations, around 95 guilty murder cases that did not amount to registered murders in 2020, 7,215 deaths due to negligence, 7,177 died due to negligence related to the accident on the road and the abstronomeless hit and run.
With the Covid-19 pandemic count and subsequent locking in 2020, Bihar registered the number of deaths related to the second dowry with 1,046 cases.
Bihar was also an attempt to murder with 11,784 incidents reported last year.
West Bengal over it with 12,725 cases in this category.
There were 47 reductions for suicide, 1,367 cases of guilty murder and 98,502 injured cases in Bihar.
In kidnapping and kidnapping, Bihar is among the top four states in the country with 7,889 cases as it was reported last year.
The number of rape incidents increased to 806 by 2020 of 730 in 2019.
